What is BAL12-24-36?

Three formats, three rhythms, the same objective: to make Balearic photography visible in a professional and close context.
Who is the target audience?
To photographers born in the Balearic Islands or residing in the Balearic Islands, of any age and background (emerging or experienced), working in any discipline: documentary, auteur, landscape, portrait, archive, conceptual, experimental, etc.
Do you have a project with intention, coherence and desire to go out into the world?
Then this call is for you.
What are we looking for?
Projects that:

have a clear line (theme, research or approach)
-
show visual consistency and careful editing
-
can support a story (idea, process, context, motivation)
-
have something to say about territory, identity, the present… or whatever you are obsessed with right now.
We do not seek perfection. We are looking for a look.
What does OpenCall offer?
Live presentation at the Congress (official program)
Travel + accommodation included during the days of the congress
150 € fee per intervention
Official diffusion on the festival's website and networks
And most importantly: a place where your project is seen, heard and shared as it deserves to be.
How to participate
To apply for the OpenCall, send:
1) PDF Dossier (max. 10 MB) including:
– name and surname
– place of residence (and/or link to Balearic Islands)
– project title
– brief statement (max. 1,000 characters)
– selection of images according to chosen category (12 / 24 / 36)
– short bio (max. 600 characters)
– web / Instagram (optional)
2) Indicate in the subject line:
OpenCall BAL12-24-36 – [Your name] – [BAL12/BAL24/BAL36].
3) Email submission to: festival@santjosepesfoto.com
